gesund wie ein Fisch im Wasser: as fit as a fiddle

zB: Trotz seines hohen Alters ist er gesund wie ein Fisch im Wasser.

auf Englisch: In spite of his great age he is as fit as a fiddle.

Nope. That doesn't exist. At least I (as an Austrian) have never heard of it.
wie ein Fisch im Wasser
means that you feel comfortable, you fit in, or you are very.. sure of yourself and what you are doing right now. (it's quite difficult to express)

I say: Ich fühle mich hier wohl - wie ein Fisch im Wasser.
Fisch im Wasser means literally, fish in the water - something in its element - and it's used like this.
gesund wie ein FIsch? Why should a fish be healthy?
